You won the contract. Get funded to start it.
Aegis Work Capital advances funding against contracts you've already been awarded — so payroll, materials, and mobilization don't have to wait on a 30-, 60-, or 90-day government pay cycle.
Winning the contract isn't the hard part. Cash flow is.
It happens more than contractors like to admit: you win the award, then can't front the payroll, materials, or bonding to actually start the job. The agency doesn't just move on to the next bidder quietly — a contractor who can't perform on an award they accepted can end up flagged, terminated for default, or shut out of future solicitations with that agency entirely.
Funding lined up against the award — before mobilization, not after you're already behind — is what keeps that from happening. Aegis Work Capital exists so a cash-flow gap never turns into a defaulted contract and a damaged past-performance record.
From award notice to funded, in days
Submit the award
Upload your signed contract and a draw request once you've won. No projected pipeline, no speculative deals — just work that's already been awarded to you. Won the contract outside Aegis? It qualifies too.
Get underwritten
We evaluate the contract itself — the agency, the terms, the payment schedule — not just your balance sheet. The award is verified against USAspending.gov evidence, and most decisions land in days.
Draw and deliver
Approved funds move to your account so payroll, materials, and mobilization don't wait on a government pay cycle. You execute the work.
Repay from proceeds
As the agency pays out on the contract, funding is repaid directly from those proceeds — on the payment schedule you already agreed to, installments included.
Federal mechanics, not fine print.
Assignment of Claims
The funding agreement uses Assignment of Claims under FAR Subpart 32.8 — the standard federal mechanism for assigning contract payments — e-signed digitally by both sides.
Verified before approved
Approval is gated on a confirmed award match backed by USAspending.gov evidence and staff-reviewed documents: award letter, statement of work, CLIN schedule, payment terms, funding plan, and financials.
Verify once, fund again
Company identity verification is done once and carries over to every future funding request. A funding-use plan is AI-drafted from the contract scope for you to edit before approval.
Locked-down payout details
Your payout instructions are encrypted at rest — only the last four digits are ever displayed. Repayment follows the contract's own payment schedule, installments included.
Priced per deal, not off a rate card
Two things make up what you pay — a percentage-based fee and processing fees. Neither is published as a flat number, because neither should be: they depend on how much you're borrowing and your payback timeline. You'll see the exact figures quoted for your specific deal in the funding application, before you accept anything.
A percentage-based fee
The core cost of the advance, charged as a percentage of the amount funded rather than a fixed rate — it moves with how much you're borrowing and your payback timeline.
Processing fees
Covers payment handling and disbursement on your draws and repayments.
Fund the deals. Earn the return.
Every advance behind an Aegis Work deal is backed by a signed, awarded government contract — one of the more reliable payers there is. As an accredited investor, you can put capital behind these deals and earn a return as contractors draw down and repay.
Become an investorInvesting involves risk, including loss of principal, and is available to accredited investors only. This page is not an offer to sell securities; our investor team will walk you through the terms and required disclosures.
Contract-backed
Each deal is tied to a specific, awarded government contract — verified against USAspending.gov, not a speculative pipeline.
A 5% management fee
Aegis Work takes a 5% management fee on funded deals — the rest of what contractors pay flows through to investors, pro-rata.
A managed book
Our team allocates funded capital across contract-backed deals, and you see exactly how each one performs — amount in, amount back, ROI, cash-on-cash, and portfolio-level return.
Capital FAQ
What contracts qualify?
Awarded federal, state, or municipal contracts — a signed award in hand. We fund against the contract you’ve already won — not proposals or bids still in review. Contracts won outside Aegis Work qualify too: file an external funding request against any awarded government contract.
Is this a loan?
It’s an advance against your contract proceeds rather than a traditional loan. The funding agreement uses Assignment of Claims under FAR Subpart 32.8 — the standard federal mechanism for assigning contract payments — e-signed by both sides, with your quoted cost and repayment structure laid out before you accept anything.
What does it cost?
A percentage-based fee on the amount funded, plus processing fees. Neither is a flat, published rate — both depend on how much you’re borrowing and your payback timeline, and you’ll see the exact numbers quoted in your funding application before you accept anything.
How fast can I get funded?
Underwriting focuses on the contract and the agency behind it, which is usually faster to evaluate than a full financial-statement review. Most contractors get a decision in days. Identity verification is done once per company and carries over to every future request.
When can I apply?
You can file a funding request at any stage while a bid is alive — even before you’ve submitted it — but approval and funding only happen once the contract is awarded.
